Joe Frazier, Partner
Joe was raised in Houston and received his BS in petroleum engineering in 1983 from Texas A&M University. After working as an engineer with Transco Energy, Joe joined LEMARCO Ltd., a family owned company engaged in the assembly and marketing of exploratory prospects in Texas Gulf Coast, operation of producing properties and purchase and sale of producing properties. Joe was responsible for all phases of operations: drilling, completion and production. Joe also managed reserves reporting and property evaluations. Joe managed the divestiture of LEMARCO’s assets. Joe formed Verus Energy, LP in 1998 with purpose of acquiring and exploiting distressed assets in the Gulf Coast Basin. Funded privately and with traditional bank debt, the company made several acquisitions and operated before the commodity market heated up. Joe successfully steered the company’s strategy toward exploration. Partnering with Escondido Resources, Joe oversaw the investment in working interest and the drilling of more than 40 wells in South Texas, Escondido, Olmos and San Miguel formations. Joe managed to sale of Verus’ remaining assets in 2014. In 2012, Joe joined forces with his brother Bob to form Frazier Exploration Partners.
Bob Frazier, Partner
Bob was raised in Houston and graduated from UT Austin in 1977 with a BBA. After working as a landman for Houston based independents Mosbacher Energy, Tomlinson Interests, and LaJet Petroleum from 1978 to 1984, Bob began his career as an independent in oil and gas exploration in 1984. Assembled and marketed 1st deal in 1984 resulting in successful re-entry of well and completion in Sub-Clarksville zone in Madison County, TX (still producing), followed up with a discovery in Sub-Clarksville in Grimes County in 1985. In late 1985, Bob co-founded LEMARCO Ltd., a family owned company engaged in the assembly and marketing of exploratory prospects in Texas Gulf Coast, operation of producing properties and purchase and sale of producing properties. Bob assisted in raising $4.2 MM in funding for exploration program from industry sources. Bob supervised leasing activity on in-house generated prospects. Under Bob’s watch, LEMARCO successfully marketed and drilled each prospect assembled resulting in three new field discoveries. Bob formed Frazier Resources Company (FRC) in 1992 as owner/manager for joint venture which he assisted in establishing to acquire producing mineral and royalty properties, and pursue 3-D seismic exploration opportunities in TX Gulf Coast. FRC operated wells in early 2000’s but later chose to forego operations to focus on generating new exploration opportunities. Focused on conventional targets in the Miocene, Frio/Vicksburg and Eocene, FRC was responsible for several successful wells having been drilled, including the discovery of a multi-well field in eastern Harris County in the Yegua and Cook Mountain. FRC has formed and maintained alliances with several independent explorationists in the E & P community who have proven track records and use state-of-the-art exploration tools. In 2012, Bob joined forces with his brother Joe to form Frazier Exploration Partners.
